Early Childhood and Parent Education

helps children, teens, and adults improve their lives.  Our parent education experts teach skills that enhance the parent-child relationship, prevent child abuse and strengthen the family unit.  Teens and children are provided opportunities to develop social skills and learn anger management techniques.  Staff trained in child development visit eligible first-time mothers in their homes.  Volunteers age 55 and over are provided with opportunities to address critical community needs through service.

Current programs include:

Raising Great Kids

Designed to help parents of all ethnic and cultural backgrounds who would like to strengthen their parenting skills and their relationship with their children.  Helps parents develop the child’s self esteem while teaching the child to resist drugs, gangs, crime and violence.  Parents receive support from other members while also learning about other community resources and support systems.  Childcare and a light meal are provided.

Every Child Succeeds

First time parents receive support and child development information through this regional program designed to ensure a healthy start for children.

 RSVP

RSVP engages persons 55 years of age or older for volunteer assignments in Hamilton County.  This program has the dual purpose of providing rewarding, enriching experiences for volunteers while addressing critical community needs.
