Assessment

Specially trained therapists conduct an assessment to determine the extent of the problem. Referrals are made when necessary to detoxification or more intensive levels of care.

Treatment may include:

For the substance abuser

• Address substance abuse
• Referral and collaboration with community self help groups
• Explore triggers for relapse
• Devise a specific relapse prevention plan

For significant others and families

• Groups, individual, or family counseling
• Address enabling behaviors
• Learn the impact of substance dependence on the family and couple relationships

Certification

Family Service Substance Abuse Treatment is certified by Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services and the Ohio Department of Mental Health and by the Commonwealth of Kentucky Cabinet for Health Services.
